Buyer corners Manifold Heights site by Alison Aprhys.
A PRIME corner property at 302-306 Aberdeen St, Manifold Heights, sold at auction for $2.25 million last week. Agent Tim Darcy said the vendors were the Coles Property Group. Mr Darcy said the
2207sq m property with a mixed use zoning attracted a great deal of interest. “We had a good crowd with at least six parties bidding,” he said. “The bidding opened on a live bid of $1.5 million and we had a reserve under $2 million so this was a pleasing outcome.” Mr Darcy said the property faced a hotel, supermarket and shopping strip on the other three sides of the intersection.
“This is one of Geelong’s best corner sites; Aberdeen St has now become the city main arterial link between the city and the Fyansford Bypass,” he said.
The property is a strategic site as it features a 94m combined street frontage. The buyer is keeping plans for the site under wraps.
